Rihanna Rocks Pyjama inspired ‘thing’ at the premiere of her blockbuster “Battleship” in Tokyo

Over in Tokyo today, Rihanna hit the official red carpet premiere for her upcoming flick Battleship rocking Emilio Pucci.

Still rocking the long black party-shaven hairstyle she recently switched up to, Rihanna and her co-stars and fans braved storm-force winds and rain in Tokyo.

Rihanna rocked this Fall 2012 Emilio Pucci blue and gold metallic pantsuit/pajamas style look for her big premiere.  Apparently pajama style is all the rage because we’ve seen Rih in this look before as well as other celeb red carpet staples.

She kept her jewelry gold toned and tan heels for the occasion.

Nice.  Battleship premieres May 18th.

Rihanna also spoke with the Associated Press this week and the subject of Whitney Houston’s biopic came up.  And, as rumored for a while now, Rihanna spoke about portraying the icon herself:

“That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do because I would want to really pull it off,” she said to The Press Association. “That’s a huge, huge role and whoever does it has to do a good job.”

“My first song that I remember falling in love with was a Whitney Houston song — ‘I Will Always Love You,’” she continued. “It was really inspiring and it made me develop a passion for music, so really she’s partly responsible for me being here in this industry.”
